Diagnosis

Favre-Racouchot Disease (Nodular Elastosis with Cysts and Comedones)

Discussion

This is a rare but benign disease that produces numerous epidermal cysts or comedones on the facial area. It is is clincal-pathologic corelation with the distinctive nodules and the histologic findings. Because of the solar elastosis that is usually present, an association with sun exposure has been postulated, although this latter point has been debated.
